a story about me

Over my 20 year career as a creative (art) director, I have worked on a diverse range of clients both building new brands and reinventing old ones. My experience has given me the ability to jump in and quickly get to know your client, your brand and you. My process, which isn’t really a process, uses strategic thinking, creative concepting and human understanding. With all that, my work has resulted in love and loyalty as well as growth and profit gains.

On a personal note, I’m a NYC transplant. Now living in Sydney with my partner, baby and pup. I’m looking for opportunities to help brands grow through storytelling and great design.

Background

  • A creative partnership that began in a broom closet at Digitas NY in 2008 and led to some amazing work for brands like: Disney, Keds, HomeGoods, Michael Kors, and the NFL. Although no longer actively working together, we occasionally still rally together on projects that get us both going.

  • An Independently owned agency where my partner and I worked as Creative Directors leading several teams. We successfully ran the Disney Princess global account and won some awards along the way.

    Clients: Disney Princess, Gerber, Freshpet, Homesense

  • The agency known by many names, most famously kirshenbaum & bond. My partner and I grew into our role as Creative Directors here. We were part of the new business pitch team as well as running several pieces of business day to day. We successfully reinvented and relaunched the original women’s sneaker brand (Keds), turned the word burger into a verb (Red Robin), and transformed homes across the US (TJX).

  • Over the years as a team, my partner and I freelanced together, a lot. Sometimes we were called in to pitch new clients, sometimes to come up with a campaign for existing clients, and a lot of times to put out fires. During it all we learned to work smartly and quickly. Ask me about it, there are some good stories from those days.

  • Two great agencies where my career began. I worked alongside some of the most talented people in the industry and learned how to be an efficient, effective creative.
